EHS AUDITING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

Artemis staff worked with the Corporate Environmental Department of a National Natural Gas Producer and Processor to develop a Corporate Multi-Media Compliance Auditing Program. The objectives of the project were:

§  To develop a compliance auditing program that was consistent with the Company’s Mission Statement;

 §  To create measurable program goals within the auditing program; and

 §  To develop a program that was readily implementable with tracking mechanisms to reflect progress.

 The first step in the process was to perform a function analysis on prior auditing systems.  HSE staff were interviewed, and a list of system requirements was developed. ARTEMIS staff prepared a prototype auditing program that met the Company’s overall program goals for environmental compliance and protectiveness.  A tracking system was also developed and rolled out to field staff.  The auditing program was developed to prioritize compliance issues with the greatest potential to pose future environmental liabilities.
