October 2008 - Artemis Client Recieves Gold Environmental Leadership Award |
|
Denver, CO - Serck Services Inc., a division of UK based Unipart Group of Companies and a client of Artemis' staff since 1992, was awarded the Gold Environmental Leadership Award for its Denver operations from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). The Environmental Leadership program recognizes employers who operate an exemplary, beyond-compliance environmental management system and who have had no violations in the previous three years. The ELP Gold Award is equivalent to and has reciprocity with the EPA’s National Environmental Performance Track. Serck joined local environmental leaders such as Ball Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, and New Belgium Brewery, at a ceremony held at the Denver Zoo on October 21, 2008, in recognition of their robust sustainability program.
Artemis developed and implemented the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs at all Serck locations, and is Serck’s outsourced EHS Manager. Artemis and Serck partnered to apply for ELP Gold status. Artemis staff has been working with Serck since 1992, and are tremendously proud of Serck’s EHS program achievements. Serck provides an excellent example of how EHS program improvements can lead directly to enhanced business performance.
Serck Services manufactures, distributes and services heat exchange technology products (radiators, charge air coolers, AC condensers, etc.) for the automotive, heavy duty and industrial business sectors. Their product line now includes a green brand manufactured with lead-free solder. Serck Services is the first company of its kind to receive the Gold ELP award, and is one of only 33 business in the State of Colorado who have achieved this milestone.
